Support for Kindergarten in Cancun
Not far from where fabulous all-inclusive hotel resorts are located in Cancun is a neigborhood where many of the workers in those same resorts live and raise their children. This kindergarten was discovered by Margarita Alvarez who sent these photos.
We are taking some basics such as workbooks, paper, crayons, pencils here on April 6. If you are traveling to Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, or Costa Maya (Mahahual and would like to donate any small item please let us know and we'll be sure to deliver it to this kindergarten.
We are also taking donations to build stronger walls and a roof. If you'd like to donate to this cause, please let us know.
Support for Kindergartens in Mahahual
The seeds for this project were actually planted by Jam Cruise and a project called "Leaving a Positive Legacy". With their donations we were able to donate plywood for the walls and metal "lamina" for the roof.
Prior to their help the kindergarten had no walls and only a construction paper roof. More donations were brought by the gracious and kind cruise ship passengers of backpacks, crayons, books, clothes, musical instruments, and much more.
